My year abroad in Ireland

I spent my year abroad in the south of Ireland. I attended „De La Salle College“ in Macroom, a small town in County Cork. My host family lived just outside of town, so I had to take the school bus. My host father, Noel, is a farmer and my host mother, Sandra, is a teacher. I also had three younger host brothers named Ben, Jack and Liam. There were no other exchange students in my host family, but my neighbours had two German and three Italian students whom I became friends with. The Irish are open people, so I quickly made friends at school and am still in touch with most of the people I met in Ireland. I would highly recommend doing a year abroad—it’s an experience I’ll never forget.
